Our project began with the existing consumer unit to be updated to current standards. This new board was constructed of a non-combustible material, came equipped with surge protection and double pole RCBOs.

Testing was then undertaken to inspect integrity of existing cables and RCBO trip times to ensure the devices operate as intended.

With this stage complete, our focus could shift towards the Simpson and Partners EV charger.

Installation of the charger was carried out adhering to manufacturer’s instructions with consideration to location and height. Further testing was conducted to prove disconnection times in the event of a fault whilst connected to a potential EV.

The last step entailed the install of a wise box system to deliver smart home wireless control via standard switch arrangement, smartphone, or fob.

The inclusion of spike lights, with warm white LED lamps, provided the garden a warm atmosphere and contemporary display.

Minor work tests were carried out to determine electrical values did not detriment the existing installation with the standard final checks of all works.

A walkthrough with our client, presenting all quoted works completed, including handover of an aftercare package to the Simpson and Partners EV charger.
